The Fastest car in the World: can speed upto 284 mph (458km/h)

The Swedish automaker’s koenigsegg Agera RS supercar holds the title of World’s Fastest Production Car by clinching GPS-verified two-way average top speed of 277.9 mph (447 km/h) and a fastest return speed of 284.55 mph (458 km/h).
The name comes from the Swedish verb 'agera' which means "to act" or in imperative form "(You) act!".

The previous World record was 270.39mph set by Hennessey Venom GT in 2014. In 2013 Bugatti veyron super sport achieved the title of worlds fastest car by speeding upto 267.8 mph.
The $2.1 million Agera is powered by an in-house developed 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine which can speed upto 0-400 in 33.87 seconds.

Agera RS features advanced lightweight sound insulation, an all-new front splitter optimized for the track, front winglets, side skirts, advanced dynamic underbody flap system and a dynamically active rear spoiler for added down force (now up to 450 kg at 250 km/h). The body of this car is made from carbon fibre/Kevlar which is very light weight material as compared to traditional materials and provides high strength. The active Aerodynamic body and 1360 horsepower twin turbo charged V8 engine is what helps this beast to achieve top speed of 458 km/h.
