The iPhone 8 becomes the best Top selling smartphone in May 2018.
Apple and Samsung both still continue to battle it out for the top spot on the best-selling smartphone list. While Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung was leading the charge with the Galaxy S9+ in April, iPhone 8 has now become the top seller across the globe during May 2018.
According to the latest reports from Counterpoint`s Market Pulse, iPhone 8 -- the most affordable of all the iPhones launched this year -- became the best selling smartphone across the world for the month of May. Both iPhone 8 and Galaxy S9+ locked horns for a 2.4 percent market share of the global smartphone sales during May 2018.
The iPhone 8 succeeded because of new and strong ad campaigns, especially the football-themed ‘How to Shoot on iPhone’ advert leading up to the start of the FIFA World Cup 2018.
The iPhone X stood third in this list with a 2.3% market share and the most popular budget smartphone Xiaomi Redmi 5A stood fourth.
